Die Dog!
The shit has hit the fan as far as United is concerned,we have gone four league games and no points and it's time to put up, it's die dog or cough up the licence. The Sky Blue Sport crew are having a well earned break here in the Canary islands and when this break was planned, we were saying we're going to miss a match with United playing well. Now it doesn't seem to matter anymore, not only is United playing bad, they're are plagued by injuries. The latest in a long line of causalities is Alan D, who's going to be missing until the New Year. Thommo isn't expected back until at the earliest Boxing Day and there's no word on Gavin Taggart. The boys in the reserves and the bench are going to have to step up to the plate and be counted.
Names like Gillan and Fleming will become the norm rather than be unusual and there's going to be no hiding place for the likes of Neil Lowry who seems to blow hot and cold. There's also an opportunity for these players to establish themselves and ensure there's a real competition for places in the weeks ahead. Spike has said he wants cover for every position and wants competition for every place, but he may get this sooner than he thinks. A few short weeks ago a draw for this fixture would've been away out of question, now in the light of the last few results, it'll be heralded like a victory. A draws not out of the question but we need everybody playing full blast and dedicated to the cause. Go out and play as if your lives depended on it and let's shag the boys from County Armagh!
